From the slowest of all chemical reactions such asrusting in a dry climate to the most massive non-nuclear explosion, all chemistry comes down to understanding what atoms do with electrons. Not just any electrons, but mostly only those electrons, called valence electrons, existing in the outermost energy levels of the atoms.

ACTIVITY ASSIGNMENT:
1. Watch each of the following videos, writing a summary of each one.
2. Using your book, your written summary from the videos and Google, complete all of Chapter 5, Electrons in Atoms in the Guided Reading and Study Workbook. Be sure and include the Guided Practice Problems.
