ZERO-DEFECTS EXAM: BLOCK #17

Active Learning Final Exam

Go For It!
Zero Defects is an industry-based term meaning that whatever is being built works!

An astronaut launched on top of a powerful rocket doesn't want to hear the engineers say, "We are eighty-percent confident this rocket will not blow up."

In an ideal world of school, a motivated student would want to demonstrate complete knowledge about the material required by the class. In today's world of school we have the resources to actually learn stuff as we take an exam.

The nature of this final exam is designed to enable you to actually learn the material thoroughly and also give you an outstanding grade.

Here's How It Works.

  • Download the Zero Defect Exam pdf
  • Use any resource you wish (Google, friends, etc.)
  • Place answers on the Scantron provided
  • Write one relevant fact needed to do the question

The following question is an example.

1.  Which formula represents copper(I) oxide?
(1) CuO       (3) Cu2O
(2) CuO2     (4) Cu2O2

The correct answer is choice (3). Place it on the Scantron.

Relevant fact: The Roman Numeral (I) in the formula indicates the oxidation number of Cu in the formula. Thus two copper atoms are needed to balance the 2- oxidation state of the oxygen.
